Critical Skills Work Visa conditions are tied to the occupation you applied under.

You must work in an occupation on the current Critical Skills List, and your job offer/contract must correspond to it.

If the occupation is regulated, keep professional body registration valid for the visa period.

You must score at least 100 points on the work-visa points system and remain eligible for renewals.

With an employer, the employer undertakes to cover deportation costs and to ensure your passport stays valid for the contract; without an employer, you must prove funds and undertake to maintain passport validity yourself.

For extensions, keep the occupation on the list, keep registration current, and submit the renewal timeously, preferably within 60 days before expiry.
